Forever Homes Wanted Ferret Rescue
Ferrets with Special Medical Needs
These ferrets have joined the rescue and have medical issues that require medical attention long
term. We list them so that their stories can be seen and read because it is our hope that someone will
open their hearts for whatever time these ferrets remain with us before going to The Rainbow Bridge.
With a knowledgeable loving individual and a bit of time and care they will join the ranks of adopted
ferrets and find their forever homes. Forever Homes Wanted Ferret Rescue reserves the right to
interview and approve possible ferret adopters prior to adoption. There is an $85.00 adoption fee.
This is to cover medical care, housing, and food for each ferret in our care. We will not adopt to
minors.
Chip-
Wazzup! I'm a bit of a laid back sable chilling with my buddy J.W. I came from Brazos County Animal Shelter
with 3 other buddies and Angel 2. Two were healthy and found a forever home. Angel 2 has left for the bridge
now. The rest of us well…….we've all got some issues here and there but our rescue mom & dad (and their son)
make sure we have what we need. I'm about 7 1/2 and just taking it day-by-day with insulinoma treated by
Prednisolone.
Bacon –
Yeah, I am blind but so what. I am a sable male who is 4½ years old. Yes, I have attitude and only want to play
with my cage mate Snowy. I like my duck soup and to be snuggled by my humans. I will on occasions roll and
play with these humans as well. Mostly I like to roll in the rice box and crawl through all the tunnels. Oh yeah,
I ONLY play well with my cage mate Snowy.
Snowy –
Whew, Bacon said a lot about himself. I am his cage mate. I am a dark eyed white male, who is 5½
years old. I am deaf, so when I play with Bacon I make a lot of noise. I don't have volume control for my voice
due to being deaf. So if you come to my rescue, it is normally play that I started and want to finish. I love to
cuddle, eat duck soup, tackle Bacon, and sleep. I have tummy issues too. We are looking for that special forever
home that understands our disabilities.
Lola Bear –
I am a sable female who is 6 years old. I have lived with Cooper as my cage mate, since Beano and Rocky left for
The Bridge. We came to the rescue in a round-a-bout sort of way. Our original owner had taken us to a friend of
the family just for a few weeks, which turned into a couple of months. When the friend contacted our owner, the
friend was informed that our owner could no longer take us back. So here we are. I protect Cooper and push the
other ferrets around. I don’t know how long it will take to find a special home for us, but our rescue mom takes
good care of us.
Cooper –
I am a big albino male that is 5 ½ years old. As Lola said, we came to the rescue the round-a-bout way. I am
very quiet and well mannered. I love to be picked up and held for long moments by humans. My buddies Beano
and Rocky went to the Rainbow Bridge 10/20/08 and I now live with Lola Bear. I have adrenal disease.
Thor -
I am only 2 years old but have heartworm so I am in foster care.
